There are different ways to prepare the base. One of the most common ways is to obtain a base from the covering soil with a membrane. Also, shock pads and felt are commonly applied on the concrete floor or soil. 

Artificial turf companies do not recommend applying synthetic grass directly to the soil. The reason for this is that the direct contact of artificial turf with the soil shortens the usage time of the artificial lawn. In addition, ragged natural grass may grow from the bottom. Weed killers may also be applied for this. The absence of an interlayer under the artificial grass causes difficulties during the renewal. The most commonly used layers are membrane and felt. Shock pad is recommended for its water absorption and softening features. Artificial turf cost and base cost should be evaluated together.

Artificial grass laying requires good attention in every process. if you are not careful in this regard, there may be problems in terms of usefulness. Such as, the uncoated area may remain if the correct measurement is not made and this should be fixed with extra work. Artificial turf carpets are attached by joint tape and glue. After this process, the artificial grass is fixed with a base with screws. Silica sand is used as a filling material. Brushing is the last stage of installing artificial grass.

There are different methods for marking the lines of a football field. If you contact the artificial grass manufacturer you can make the sidelines and endlines pre-manufactured. The dimensions of the sidelines are usually the same in 11 aside pitches but it can be customized for small or different sizes pitches. Inner lines must be cut and marked during the artificial turf installation. It is recommended that the edges be produced in the factory because it increases durability, reduces unnecessary cutting waste, and lowers overall cost. These lines come as ready with an artificial grass roll.

-Inner field lines:

      There are several necessary materials for installing the inner lines. These are artificial grass cutter, joint tape, and artificial grass adhesive. It requires good planning and an expert installer to make inner lines. In order to make the lines, the existing green grass must be cut according to the plan. After cutting the green grass, it is combined with glue and cloth. The straight lines such as the goal area, and penalty area are relatively easy to make. The Lines for the penalty arc and the center circle can be more challenging. After installing all the lines the next process is artificial grass infill. The artificial turf infill installation stage is as important as the artificial turf line marking.

      Artificial grass carpet lines are usually white and measure 10 cm / 4 inches. The white line grass will have the same or similar specifications as green artificial grass, and the astroturf cost will be the same. In some special projects, we can make artificial grass lines with different colors instead of white. These colors can be yellow, blue, or red.

        Although artificial turf manufacturers do not strongly suggest it, the painting method is also used to make football field lines. The reason why this method is not recommended is that it requires repaint when the paint fades, but when artificial turf is produced in white, it does not fade and remains white throughout its lifespan. In addition, while painting, it is necessary to make a safe choice that will not harm the environment and the players. Furthermore, special machines are necessary when painting. These machines allow you to achieve perfectly straight lines.
